It's Time
Last Sunday night was the American Music Awards. While I did not watch them I heard that Imagine Dragons performed. First thing's first, this band is incredible, and I mean they are absolutely without a doubt one of my favourite bands. I say 'one' and not just 'favourite' because I could never choose a favourite artist, much like my inability to pick a favourite book or author.
I have gone to my fair share of concerts; I've been incredibly lucky and blessed to be able to go to some amazing shows. I was fortunate enough to get to see Imagine Dragons at Osheaga this past summer and that concert will forever be dear to my heart. It was the best concert I've ever been to, and I've seen my idol Darren Criss perform in Toronto (sorry Darren!). These guys are some of the most talented, genuine, humble artists. Their passion for music and performing is beyond evident, not to mention their voices and lyrics are touching and soulful. Imagine Dragons' music never fails to make me smile, cheer me up, and/or make me dance. It is rare that you comes across an album that you can listen to repeatedly for months upon months and not get sick of even one song. Not only that, but every single song is unique and equally amazing. Their album Night Visions is truly a masterpiece.
So the pride that engulfed me when I heard that they won for Best Alternative Rock on Sunday night was genuine; they truly deserve it. I'm so proud to be an Imagine Dragons fan and I love showing people their music, hence this rather intense post about it.
I have put the link to their performance and their speech after winning at the American Music Awards here. They sang Demons and Radioactive. Check it out, as well as the rest of their music!

Here is the link for their Entire album: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Mi8J0Z0d1A Their music is so soothing. There is a moment in radioactive where they are mostly just playing drums. It's unbelievable. All right, it's time. Go listen and enjoy :)
