World Mental Health Day

Today is a great evening to start blogging again, don't you think? Life can get so busy and I find myself always trying to achieve too much all at once. Well, here I go trying to get back on track.

Yesterday was World Mental Health Day. An important day to recognize and acknowledge the battles that we, as a population, face. Life can get pretty darn messy. Sometimes the challenges come repeatedly crashing in like waves. Sometimes it's hard to put a smile on and face the storyline that you are living. And sometimes, forget the smile, it's hard to get up at all.

I get it. I've been there.

Life is tough; it can be such a struggle. But it's a beautiful struggle. One that is worth sticking out. For every day of despair or heartache, there is a day of sunshine and love. For every soul out there that is aching, try to find something that sets your heart aglow. Chase what you love and you will find likeminded people to support you in your dreams.

I would like to take this time to reach out to anyone who needs someone to talk to. I am here. We are here. Reach out to someone. Talk about it. People do care. We want to help. Life is beautiful and there are so many things to see, do and feel. You are strong enough, brave enough, and smart enough. You have a beautiful soul and story. Don't give up. It gets better.

To everyone reading this, this is a reminder that you don't know the story that someone is facing. You know not of the demons that stare other people in the eye every day. So be kind. Be receptive and open to people. You know not of the battles they face. Give others hope, love and kindness. You could change their day, week, or even year. Be the reason someone smiles. Today. Tomorrow. Every day.
