News News News!

Well everyone, today I unveil some pretty exciting news! I've been waiting and waiting for the official paperwork to tell everyone this. Remember (way back) when I said I had some pretty exciting news coming and that it would affect you? Well guess what? Here it comes.

This past year I applied to study abroad in England. After a much longer process than I originally anticipated and many days and nights wondering if I was even going, I finally received my official acceptance letter from The University of Essex! This development and change  is just what I need, and want, in my life and I'm beyond excited to be able to go on this journey. I get to go with one of my closest friends and the possibilities and adventures are going to be endless.

You might be wondering just how this affects you? Well my friend and I are launching a new blog called Travel Tales where we will document our trip! This blog will be the ultimate method by which we stay connected to everything related to home. It will be the way we scrapbook our adventures and our tribulations of travel and culture shock on this magical learning experience. As English students with a love for photography and telling stories you are in good hands. This blog will launch later today and the documentation process will start as soon as it launches. We will begin collecting stories of the preparation process and keep you in the loop as things progress!

This is a very exciting time for us and we want you to be a part of it! What this means is that we want you to leave comments, ask questions, give travel tips and suggestions, but mostly just read our Travel Tales and experience something with us.

Books & Things will still be in full swing and I will do my best to keep it a regular weekly thing. Please check out Travel Tales later today when we launch the first couple of posts and this journey becomes more a reality than it currently is. I hope it inspires you to get out there and do something you've always wanted to do. Adventures really are the best way to learn about the world and about yourself. You don't even know what you're capable of until you've launched yourself into something with hope and strength, not to mention the drive to succeed. Remember that anything is possible and that if you want it bad enough and work hard it can be yours. Keep your eyes peeled; opportunity more often than not comes dressed in overalls and looks like work. Never stop working towards your dream.
